Beginner's Mini Barbell (Oly-Lift) Series (Limited Spots)
This is not a workout class. This course will focus on barbell technique, posture, focus, finesse, patience and efficiency with Olympic Weightlifting movements. This course consists of two, two hour sessions spread over two consecutive Saturdays (Feb 11th, 10am-12pm & Feb 18th 10am-12pm). The course will be led by two experienced in-house Strength & Conditioning coaches, Will Maloy and Will Black, both of whom are very proficient in the Olympic Lift instruction. Participants will learn the basic techniques for three Lifts, the Dead Lift, the Snatch (stages, full and power variations) and the Clean (stages, full and power variations). This class will also focus on executing these lifts with minimal weights effectively and safely. The key to being a good weightlifter is motor learning. Your body’s nervous system must be taught a series of highly specific motor patterns via rep after rep of a movement done in exactly the same way every time. And, every time you add weight to the bar, the movement changes just a bit, which means that you have to RELEARN it all over again! We will focus on the avoidance of developing bad habits that will come back to haunt you.
The cost to our clients is $40 per athlete for the series (mandatory both Saturday attendance). ACF members with 1-year unlimited memberships can register at no additional cost by emailing admin@atomiccrossfit.com.

Crap, I could use this but can't make the first class due to the metro dash the same day.

I would love to do this, but I can't get out of work 2 Saturdays in a row! :(
