Holy Crapola!! If I do this WOD I don't think you will see me the rest of the week--I think this one makes up for what I missed during Hero Week. Bring it!!

Good news is I found one lung this week...bad news is I'm still missing one somewhere, so let me know if you see it! ;-)
Funny how getting something taken away makes you understand how much you should have been appreciating it all along. I tend to get so focused on improving, or frustrated about DUs or HSPUS that I forget what great joy just doing a crossfit WOD is. Easy to forget what a blessing it is to be alive, to be healthy and fit, and what fun it is to workout at Atomic Crossfit with all of you great people. It's so good to be back...perspective reset! ;-)
Happy Saint Patrick's Day to everyone and Happy Birthday, Rick.

Happy Birthday Rick!
Rest day today - still gimping around from yesterday's WOD. Equally sorry to miss the return of C-note to the packmakers (welcome back) and the filthy 50. But you are right Ben, it is good to be healthy and alive.

Famelicious, I may join you on Sunday. Sad to miss my first shot at the Filthy Fifty (or Filthy 5, as it may need to be scaled for me).
Off to Colorado tonight for a three day ski trip. Hoping to see the benefits of crossfit on the slopes.

Good to have C-Note back! I found your other lung; I'll borrow it as my third lung for tonight. Yey!
007, hmmmm....didnt you mention how much you missed KTE's? You can blame the BDay boy.

about 5 minutes faster than the last time we did this wod. Thanks Hernan for counting my DU for me.
Silverback - great job doing this sub-20
Posted by: ray | March 17, 2010 at 08:45 PM
45:21 - 20" box; 10# wb; tuck jumps
I don't think filthy is an adequate word to describe that workout. Took about 5 minutes off my time from Oct - I guess that is progress.

Happy Birthday Rick!!!
Tough WOD today, but I got my first RX in 37.19!!!!! I am pumped!!!!!

Dreaded but yet anticipated this all day..first time doing a "Filthy Fifty" so wasn't quite sure how my body would respond...should've went heavier on the KBs but felt good with the rest of the weights..as most said, the KTEs and Burpees were the worst..but, FIRST time doing DUs in a WOD!!
Thanks G for helping count those last 2 sets with me..you wouldn't let me stop even though my lungs really wanted me to..glad I didn't :)
Posted by: Nisha | March 17, 2010 at 09:10 PM
Happy Birthday Rick! Miss seeing you with the Vamps!
37:26 (10# WB)
That was a butt kicker, but I loved it! Thank you all you Vamp friends and Coaches that helped push me along!!
Posted by: Andrea aka: Genie | March 17, 2010 at 09:12 PM
You rocked it TC!! Congrats on your first RX :)
Just talked to Pat, he is skiing in New Mexico but said he might want to also do this WOD on Sunday...maybe...
Posted by: Nisha | March 17, 2010 at 09:16 PM
I finished in the low to mid 30's. I had to add some jumping pull ups due to a technique discrepency and I did 10 extra burpees because I am an idiot.b
Posted by: 007 | March 17, 2010 at 09:19 PM
G, i knew you would listen to me.
Posted by: 007 | March 17, 2010 at 09:23 PM
34:55 (Rx - for the most part) I think I probably slacked a little bit on the KTE's. But other than that it was Rx.
Thanks Billy and JB for the push at the end and for counting the DU's. My brain was fried at that point.
Congrats TC on your first Rx!!! Thats a hell of a WOD to get your first one on... See ya'll manana!
Posted by: D-Mena | March 17, 2010 at 09:31 PM
29:58 Rx last time was 43:03 (14# wb, TJ)
It's almost like this stuff works.....
Silverback, Billy that was awesome.
Thanks for the "Recovery Beverages" too

24:55 (Scale A, 14# WB)
Thanks JB & G for not allowing me to get ahead myself and end up on the couch again!
Great job tonight everyone.
Posted by: mikey | March 17, 2010 at 09:46 PM
27:11 (20# WB @ 25 reps and 14# WB @ 25 reps)
I'm getting used to the 20#WB, just need to work on hitting half a foot higher since most reps were hitting bottom half and border line of the 1 foot orange target.
A DEFINITE PROGRESS!! THIS STUFF WORKS!! I AM SO "FREXCITED" !!!!
OCT09 28:19 (14#WB on all 50 reps 10ft target)
FEB09 32:11 (14#WB barely making 10ft target)
DEC08 31:05 (18" BJ, 10#WB, 150 singles)
Posted by: G | March 17, 2010 at 11:08 PM
Awesome baseline tonight Brandon W!
Heather, tuck jumps for today; you'll be working on DUs diligently from here and on I know :)
Summer, nice to see you post. You kept moving on the burpees!
Nisha, just wanted to make sure 50 Burpees was your HAPPY PLACE tonight and extend the bliss further to the dubs. You cranked 6 dubs in one set. Milestone!
007, of course!
Mikey, you've heard this before, "CROSSFIT as a life-long pursuit of fitness" is how it has to be. See you soon!
Jim, I know you are reading this....hope you and April are enjoying Vegas.

I owe this performance to Billy. I was lucky to get ahead of him on the box jumps & I held on for dear life for the rest of the workout. Just tried to stay in front of him no matter what. It hurt big. Thx to Ray and Hernan who counted down my burpees and DUs.

Dennis, way to push through til the end on this epic WOD.
So how about those funnel cakes at the rodeo yesterday, huh? You promised!
Posted by: G | March 18, 2010 at 07:35 AM
I kept my word coach! Everytime I saw someone eating one, I heard your voice say "you will regret it" so I resisted. It was hard but I did. I have a witness :)

REALY hating to miss this WOD again. looks like a great one but am on spring break in the middle of the boonies and only cows & fields around. Can't wait to get back to the box next week!

21:07 Rx not fast enough
Posted by: Stacy | March 18, 2010 at 09:11 AM
Time - 28:04.
sets of 50
24 inch steps
good mornings: 20 at 35#, 30 at 10# (Grace was kind to my back!)
10# wall ball
A killer workout. I mentally was ready to quit the madness once I got to the burpies, but decided not to wimp out.

31:05 RX
almost 6 min off my last time plus went RX this time. I would have taken 3 hours if Stacy wasn't counting my burpees and I was trying to catch Chris S. the whole time. Thanks guys. Great evening at the box. Nice working out with Rick on his Bday. C-Note good to have you back. I will likely join the pacemakers again if this heat holds up.

Steve, good to see you tackle the Filthy and good to see your son, David, join us again on his spring break.
Sugahara, you certainly held out on taking long breaks all the way to happy bupees. Just had to keep you going the same pace all the way through. Good job!
We miss you Gina!
